25 weeks

Here's the latest picture at 25 weeks. Also, there's one of TJ taking a nap with the newly-finished quilt.

I finally tracked down someone with a scanner, so here are two of the pictures from my 21 week ultrasound. The top picture is his head and body, and the bottom picture is a little foot!

Summer?

Well, as I write this it's cold and rainy outside, but for a few days it was beautiful. Hopefully summer here will be better than last year and consist of more than a few weeks of sunshine in May, followed by 70 days of rain... But we made the most of the nice weather and hung out on the patio and cooked on the BBQ. The first picture is me at 23 weeks, and the bottom picture shows some progress on my quilt.

It's a boy!

Just before our trip to Barcelona, we had our big 20–22 week ultrasound. Everything looked good, and we found out that it's a boy! He was moving all over the place, so the scan took a nice, long time. I highly recommend scheduling ultrasounds for right after lunch! I'll post pictures as soon as I can track down someone with a scanner.

FYI--names are top secret, so guess all you want, but we're not telling!

A bump in the sun

Spring is here, the flowers are blooming, and the sun has finally come out...but not in Dublin. So, to get away for a few days of sunshine, we went to Barcelona last weekend. We did lots of walking around the city center, ate roughly a metric ton of gelato, and did the usual touristy things--Sagrada Familia, Parc Guell, etc.

In other news, I've discovered the vicious, unrelenting pain of pregnancy-induced heart burn. Wow. There were some incidents at a bus stop, on a bus, and on a plane that I'd rather not discuss. I just think that it's especially cruel that I'm always hungry, but now I'm afraid to eat.
